The Andromeda Effect
Corbin Deckard presents the science fiction thriller The Andromeda Effect.
He's got it made, Nick thought. Small university teaching gig, few hassles,
and every now and then he actually got to do research - his kind. Not much
differed in his daily routine. Not his Walkman. Not his classes. Not even his
coffee. Uneventful, and that was okay. It was an unexpected visitor and a
not-so-chance meeting that was going to change all of that.
François Legard, special project liaison with the French Ministry of the Interior,
didn't say much about what it was he wanted from Nick. He did however, have an
invitation. A plane ticket to Paris, a spot on an undisclosed scientific team,
and the chance to work on a top-secret project that promises to forever change
the world. Nick finds himself face to face with an opportunity of a lifetime: to
work on the world's first teleportation device and leave his comfortable,
predictable life behind.
But that's the problem. He and his team soon realize nothing is as it seems.
It IS a teleportation device...isn't it? Then why is the world around them
not quite what they remember it to be? It's a race for their lives - and a race
against time - to set the world right or lose it forever.
